Day Care Owner Arrested On Child Endangering Charges

AKRON, Ohio (AP) - The co-owner of a day care center faces child endangerment charges after a search of the building turned up a loaded gun, a whip and photos depicting adult nudity.

David L. Corsi, president and co-owner of K-D Day Care Center in suburban Northfield Center, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with felony and misdemeanor child endangering counts. Corsi, 54, of Malvern, also was charged with disseminating matter harmful to children and voyeurism.

Two video cameras, a computer, videotapes and a television monitor also were seized in a search last week.

Sheriff's inspector Keith Thornton said the investigation began following allegations that Corsi (pictured, above) took children into a private office. Thornton would not discuss specific allegations against Corsi, and would not say what police believe occurred while Corsi was with the children.

The day care staff has been "very personable, very responsive and helpful," parent Lauri Ljubi told Cleveland television station WKYC.
