CLEVELAND - A group of seniors who are fed up with the high cost of prescription drugs took the matter into their own hands on Friday, Action News reported.
A busload of senior citizens from northeast Ohio traveled to Windsor, Canada.
The group traveled north of the border to buy prescription drugs at cheaper Canadian prices.
Action News asked some of the seniors why they were making the trip.
"We're going to Canada because the drugs are so much cheaper," Shirleen Wright said. "It's just too high here. It's something we really can't afford."
U.S. Rep. Sherrod Brown saw all of the seniors off Friday morning. He is organizing a similar trip scheduled to depart on June 7.
