PERRY HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) - Librarians are setting up a bookmobile in the parking lot of a library near Canton that burned to the ground over the weekend.
Damage from the fire at the Perry Heights branch of the Stark County District Library is estimated at $2 million.
Approximately 54,000 books and other items were destroyed.
Library officials said that insurance will cover the loss of the building, but some of its contents can't be replaced.
Marge Baker is assistant director of the library system. She said that they'll fill an old bookmobile with picture books, best sellers, DVDs and videos. It'll be put in the parking lot as soon as officials say it's safe.
No word yet on what caused the fire.
