Police Still Looking For Suspects In Killing Of OSU Student

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Columbus police said that they're still looking for two suspects in the weekend shooting death of an Ohio State University student.

The student died early Sunday morning after he was shot through the rear window of a car he was riding in near campus, police said.

David Slater Jr., 22, of Toledo, was pronounced dead at the Ohio State University Medical Center at 12:16 a.m., according to a Columbus police report.

Slater was shot after an argument with someone, the report said.

Ohio State University Police issued a crime alert to students and faculty that said the suspects are two 19- or 20-year-old black men. Wearing jeans and T-shirts at the time of the shooting, they each are about six feet tall and weigh between 150 and 160 pounds, the alert said.

Police said a witness to the shooting drove Slater from the scene and called authorities who took Slater to the hospital.
