McCutcheon Signs 3-Year Contract With Browns

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Cleveland Browns cornerback Daylon McCutcheon signed a new three-year contract with the team on Tuesday.

McCutcheon is one of the few impact players left from Cleveland's 1999 expansion team. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

McCutcheon had been a restricted free agent. He's become one of the Browns' best defensive backs since being drafted by the club.

McCutcheon started in all 16 games last season with the Browns and had a career-high four interceptions.

The cornerback had been anxious to get the deal signed this spring and was upset when the Browns didn't quickly offer him a new deal.
