Six Flags Worker Collapses While Doing Job

AURORA, Ohio – In what might be the first official death related to the scorching northeast Ohio heat wave, a Six Flags employee died while doing his job on Tuesday, Action News reported.

The park worker collapsed while performing routine duties at around 1:30 p.m. on the grounds of Six Flags Worlds of Adventure amusement park.

He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital in Solon by the Aurora EMS and then taken by Life Flight to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's identity is being withheld for the time being, but Action News did find out that he was 59 years old and was employed as a grounds cleaning worker at the park for the last two years.

The cause of death is yet to be determined.
