WASHINGTON (AP) - Bath and Body Works Inc. is recalling about 1,000 ice shavers because they can cut consumers.
The Columbus, Ohio-based company has received five reports of minor injuries to consumers' hands and fingers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said Monday. The incidents occurred at Bath and Body Works stores.
The recalled ice shavers are orange and blue, come with two ice maker cups and have a palm tree design on the sides. "Bath and Body Works Art Stuff" is written on the front and "Made in Taiwan" is on the bottom.
The ice shaver has a silver and blue handle, which turns and compresses ice onto a stainless steel blade.
Bath and Body Works stores sold the ice shavers in May for about $20.
The safety commission said consumers should stop using these ice shavers and return them to a Bath and Body Works store for a full refund or credit.
For additional information, consumers can call the company at (800) 395-1001 between 8:30 to 5:30 p.m. EDT Monday through Friday.
