Medina County Crash Kills 3 People

MEDINA, Ohio (AP) - A highway crash in Medina County on Sunday killed three people.

The Ohio Highway Patrol said that the driver of a pickup truck was headed east on U.S. Route 244 at approximately 5 p.m. and went left of center, hitting another car head-on. Three of the five people in the car were killed.

Authorities aren't releasing their names.

Patrol Lieutenant C.D. Davies said that there were four adults and a child in the car and all were related. He said that the family is from New Washington, a village in Crawford County. Davies said that the child and one adult survived the crash.

The driver of the pickup, 55-year-old Dorthy Dravenstott, of West Salem, was treated and released from the hospital. Her husband, 55-year-old Harold Dravenstott, is in stable condition at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
