Families In Greater Cleveland Left Without Power

On Thursday afternoon,

closer to restoring power to
7,000
customers in eight
eastern Cleveland suburbs.

Those

families were without
power Wednesday night because of
a transformer failure.

The transformer in South Russell went down around 5 p.m. Its failure was not heat-related, FirstEnergy spokesman Joe

Mosbrook said.

Customers were without power in the suburbs of Auburn, Bainbridge, Burton, Chagrin Falls, Newbury, Hunting Valley, Russell and South Russell.
