ELYRIA, Ohio (AP) - An Elyria Parks and Recreation T-shirt sells for approximately $3 in Elyria. In New York, they're fetching $95 apiece.
The August issue of Seventeen magazine features a model wearing an old yellow version of the T-shirt that's been modified with a buckle and some leather accents.
The magazine said that the shirt came from a vintage clothing store called "What Goes Around Comes Around." Store manager Rosa La Russa said that vintage clothes are popular because of their originality.
Elyria Parks and Recreation Director Frank Gustoff said that the shirt isn't exactly original -- the city has bought almost 5,000 of them every year since the 1980s.
