Browns Sign 2 Draft Picks

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - The Cleveland Browns signed two draft picks on Tuesday, reaching agreements on three-year deals with linebacker Kevin Bentley and offensive tackle Joaquin Gonzalez.

Financial terms were not released.

Bentley, a 6-foot, 243-pound outside linebacker, was taken in the fourth round, No. 101 overall, out of Northwestern. He was a second-team All-Big Ten selection last season.

The 6-foot-3, 308-pound Gonzalez was taken in the seventh round. He played for Browns coach Butch Davis at Miami.

Gonzalez allowed just two sacks for the Hurricanes. Davis said Gonzalez may try out at guard and tackle with the Browns, who have signed three of their eight draft picks.

Last week, tight end Darnell Sanders signed a four-year deal.

Running back William Green, the club's top pick, remains unsigned but is expected to report to training camp next week.
