CLEVELAND (AP) - Four masked men burst into a man's bedroom and gunned him down in front of his wife, police said.
Michael Reese, 38, was shot in the chest and leg Tuesday, authorities said. By the time an Emergency Medical Service crew arrived at his Cleveland home about 6 a.m., Reese was dead.
Police said Reese and his wife were in bed in the second-floor bedroom of their home when the intruders burst through the door and demanded money. Then one of the men shot Reese, and all four ran from the house and drove off in a car, said Sgt. Jacqueline Lewis, a police spokeswoman.
Moments later, after police showed up and issued a citywide broadcast describing the car, a patrol car pulled over a car that matched the description and had two men in it, Lewis said.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder and burglary, but the passenger ran away, Lewis said.
