Police Donate Abandoned Bikes To Needy Children

CLEVELAND (AP) - About a thousand bicycles that have spent years collecting dust in a police warehouse will ride again in the hands of needy children.

Cleveland police seized many of the bikes from local drug dealers. Others were abandoned or believed to be stolen. When they couldn't identify the owners, police had to keep them.

Now volunteers with a group called Cops and Kids will get to work cleaning and fixing them up.
