Cleveland State Names Athletic Director

CLEVELAND (AP) - Lee Reed, who played basketball at Cleveland State University from 1979 to 1983, was hired as the school's athletic director Wednesday.

Reed joins the Vikings from Eastern Michigan, where he was associate athletics director for internal affairs for the last four years. Reed also has held athletics administration jobs with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and the University of New Mexico.

Reed, 40, will succeed John Konstantinos, who retired July 1.
