Cavs' Diop Has Arthroscopic Surgery

CLEVELAND (AP) - DeSagana Diop, last year's first-round draft pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers, had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday at the Cleveland Clinic.

Diop (pictured, above) is expected to recover by the start of training camp in October, Cavaliers general manager Jim Paxson said.

Diop, a 7-foot, 20-year-old center, played little as a rookie, battling weight, injuries and other problems. He averaged 1.4 points per game in 18 games.
