WASHINGTON (AP) - An Ohio company is recalling about 5,000 grass bags for its lawn mowers because they do not seal properly, potentially causing injury from grass and other debris thrown from the bag.
MTD Products Inc. of Cleveland has not received any reports of injuries, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The grass bags are attachments for the company's 19-inch electric walk-behind lawn mowers with model numbers 18A-407-000, with a red body, and 18A-407-062, which has a green body.
The mowers were sold at home improvement stores and retailers nationwide from January through July for under $200.
Consumers should contact MTD for a free replacement bag by calling (888) 848-6038 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. EDT, Monday through Friday.
