BW Assistant Takes Over At The 'Berg

TIFFIN, Ohio (AP) - Baldwin-Wallace College assistant Duane Sheldon was appointed Wednesday as the new head men's basketball coach at Heidelberg College.

Sheldon takes over from John Hill, who left to become the athletic director at Shenandoah University after 26 years as The 'Berg's head coach.

Sheldon has spent the past three years as an assistant at Baldwin-Wallace. Prior to that, he led Midpark High School to a 68-42 record in five seasons as head coach. He took over at Midpark a year after graduating from Baldwin-Wallace, which competes against Heidelberg in the Ohio Conference.

A native of Strongsville, Sheldon lettered three years in basketball at Baldwin-Wallace and received his master's degree from Ashland University.
