Police Investigating Apparent Murder/Suicide

CLEVELAND – A two-story house on Cleveland's east side was the scene of a murder mystery on Wednesday that involved a 61-year-old man and his nephew, Action News' Bill Younkin reported.

As first reported on Action News at 5 p.m., the man and his nephew, 30-year-old Anthony Union, were found dead inside the home on Braddock Avenue near East 165th Street in the Collinwood section of Cleveland.

Police said that they found Union shot to death in a downstairs hallway. They said that the body of the 61-year-old was found upstairs, and that it looked like the man shot himself.

Police said that they are investigating the fatal incident, but would not elaborate on what other information their investigation might have already uncovered.

Neighbors said that Union lived upstairs in the house, while his uncle and aunt lived downstairs. They said that Union's aunt, who had been hospitalized some time ago after suffering a heart attack, was in the house when the incident happened.

If detectives know of a motive in the case, they're not yet making that information public.
