Expelled: Student Accused Of Making Death Threats Kicked Out Of School

Garfield Heights, OH - A 19 Action News update on a fifth grade student who made death threats in class.

The child was suspended for ten days and now he's out of Maple Leaf Intermediate School for good.

Last Thursday, the boy got up in front of classmates and threatened to kill them and his teachers, too.

He threatened to bring a gun to school and afterwards would urinate on all of their graves.

Parents didn't hear about the threats until 19 Action News told them about it on Monday. We pushed the district for answers and they finally came through with the details.

Parents not happy with the school district keeping them in the dark for days.

The boy had his expulsion hearing and the district sent 19 Action News Reporter Scott Taylor a letter late Wednesday afternoon saying he has been kicked out of school.

The boy still has to deal with possible criminal charges. Police handing over the results of their investigation to the prosecutors office earlier this week.
