Game Day: OSU Ready To Battle Top-Ranked Trojans

UNDATED (AP) - The college football schedule game of the day takes place at the Los Angeles Coliseum. That's where top-ranked Southern California takes on fifth-ranked Ohio State in an early season battle of a collision of unbeatens at the Coliseum. It may not be a stretch to say the winner of this game takes a huge step toward a spot in the national title game.

The Trojans have won the last five matchups against the Buckeyes. In fact, Ohio State's last win in this series came in the 1974 Rose Bowl. Southern Cal has won 11 straight non-conference home games.

Ohio State tailback Chris "Beanie" Wells has been ruled out for this game with an injured right foot.

The Trojans have won 38 of their last 39 games at the Coliseum, which has undergone a 40-million-dollar facelift for this season.
