Power Outages Adding Stress For Ohio Brides-To-Be

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Take the stress that normally goes with planning a wedding. Now add that to the ongoing hassle from the power outages that have affected thousands in central Ohio.

For brides-to-be like Kim Nguyen (gwihn) of Dublin, the aftereffects of Sunday's windstorm have only exaggerated last-minute worries.

The 29-year-old Nguyen is set to be married Saturday at a Hilliard church. But the school were the reception is to take place still didn't have power as of Wednesday.

Another bride, Marissa Torch of Grandview Heights, spent Monday and Tuesday checking the status of her caterer and florist for her Saturday wedding.

Nguyen says moving her reception to a hotel will be fine. But making sure her 200 guests know of the possible change is just another issue that requires planning.
