UNDATED (AP) - A poll of voters in the Big Ten region finds the presidential candidates are neck-and-neck in states including Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
The survey released yesterday by two University of Wisconsin-Madison political scientists shows a dead heat in Ohio, the state that helped decide the 2004 election in President Bush's favor.
Forty-six percent of voters back Democrat Barack Obama, 45 percent support Republican John McCain.
The landline telephone poll was conducted between Sunday and Wednesday. It has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
