Pie Auction Nets $11,540

NELSONVILLE, Ohio (AP) - A resident of the Cleveland suburb of Rocky River made a rhubarb pie that's so good someone was willing to pay $4,500 for it.

Marion Mucha's pie brought the highest bid at the third-annual pie auction during the Parade of the Hills Festival in Nelsonville.

There were 54 pies auctioned off, for a total of $11,540. All of the money goes to charity.

The rhubarb pie is one of three purchased by Nickie Blackburn for a total of $5,020.

The third-annual auction raised more money than in the previous two years combined.
