Travel Alert: Innerbelt Bridge Work Prompts Lane, Ramp Closures

Cleveland, OH - It is one of the most heavily traveled bridges in Cleveland.

O-Dot officials have closed one lane in each direction on the Innerbelt Bridge as well as the Ontario Street entrance ramp to I-90 Westbound.

This, after a preliminary report highlighted five areas of concern on the bridge.

19 Action News has learned there is no immediate threat to drivers.

After an early morning conference call with the O-Dot Director, it was decided inspectors would inspect the bridge by hand.

The lane and ramp closures went into effect around 12:30PM Tuesday afternoon and will remain closed for at least the next few days.
