Cleveland, OH - The man struck by an RTA bus in the early morning hours last Tuesday succumb to his injuries over the weekend.
Miguel Muniz was hit by the RTA at the intersection of W. Superior & W. 6th Street while on his way to work as a maintenance man at the Federal Courthouse.
RTA officials say the bus driver had the green arrow when she made the turn from Superior on to West 6th Street and struck Muniz.
19 Action News has learned the operator of the bus has a good driving record and was taken in for mandatory drug and alcohol testing following the accident.
The driver is currently suspended without pay.
Family members say Muniz came to the United States from Puerto Rico in the 1960's and joined the Army where he proudly served in the 25th Infantry Division.
