CANTON, Ohio (AP) - A suspect in the shooting death of a man and the wounding of the victim's girlfriend has been extradited back to Ohio from Lebanon, Pa.
Mark A. Horton, 22, of Canton, who was returned to Ohio on Tuesday, was indicted by a Stark County grand jury in the June 10 slaying of Dwayne N. Jeffrey, 31, also of Canton. Police didn't specify a motive.
Horton was booked into the Stark County Jail on Tuesday on charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault.
He was charged with killing Jeffrey and wounding Aaron "Cricket" Thompkins, 20, at the home they shared. Thompkins was treated at Aultman Hospital and has since been released.
Horton was picked up Aug. 6 by Lebanon police, who had been investigating an unrelated theft.
