Prime Time: Dawgs Chomping At the Bit To Make Monday Night Mark

CLEVELAND (AP) - In their Monday night game, the disappointing Cleveland Browns (1-3) will take the field as enormous underdogs against the unbeaten New York Giants.

The Giants carry an 11-game road winning streak into the matchup -- 12 if you count the neutral-site Super Bowl. They also embarrassed Cleveland during the exhibition season.

It's been 15 years since the Browns won on Monday night and five years since they appeared there. That's a long drought in football-obsessed Cleveland where "Monday Night Football" made its debut on Sept. 21, 1970, with a game between Cleveland and the New York Jets.

The Browns need to get themselves together quickly to avoid another wait. Their reward for a 10-6 season in 2007 was five prime-time TV appearances this season, including three on Monday night.
