$2 Million Prize Saves Day For Factory Worker

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - A factory worker whose electricity had just been turned off because he couldn't afford to pay the bill has more than enough cash now.

Bruce Ditmer, 49, received a prize certificate for $2 million from Publishers Clearing House on Thursday.

Ditmer lives with his 23-year-old daughter, Amber Ditmer, and her 6-year-old son at a low-income apartment complex.

"We're out of here now," Ditmer said. "You don't know what this did to our lives."

Ditmer said he will quit his factory job and buy new cars for himself and his daughter. And the $174 electric bill will be no problem.
