Stiff Bond: Man Pleads Not Guilty To Fatally Shooting Mother; Bond Set At $1M

Cleveland, OH - The man accused of fatally shooting his mother went before a judge Tuesday morning.

Clifton Onunwor pleaded not guilty to killing his mother - Diane - in her Shale Avenue home last month.

Officials say he tampered with evidence by giving a neighbor the shell casings to hide from police and then later told his girlfriend's cousin to hide the gun.

Judge set bond at $1M dollars.

Diane Onunwor was the ex-wife of former East Cleveland Mayor Emmanuel Onunwor.
