Man Pleads Guilty To Using Dog Shock Collar On His Children

Xenia, OH - A western Ohio man accused of disciplining his sons with a dog shock collar and throwing his 4-year-old daughter into a backyard swimming pool has pleaded guilty to charges of felonious assault and attempted felonious assault.

Thirty-nine-year-old David Liskany of Jamestown will likely serve four years in prison under a plea deal with prosecutors entered Monday in Greene County Common Pleas Court.

Sheriff's Capt. Eric Spicer says the investigation began after the oldest child walked for two days to reach another family member.

He says Liskany sometimes pointed to the collar to intimidate the children, who are now 5, 12 and 14 and were assaulted in 2006 and 2007.

Liskany's sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 22. His attorney L. Patrick Mulligan declined comment.
