Suspected Akron Burglary Ring Busted

AKRON, Ohio (AP) - Authorities in Akron said that they busted a burglary ring believed to be responsible for 43 burglaries that netted approximately $318,000 in stolen goods.

Summit County Sheriff's Lt. Rick Dodds said that six people were arrested and warrants were issued for three others.

Officials said that the suspects targeted small business, stealing cigarettes, power tools, camping equipment, car parts office furniture and electronics.

Authorities said that members of the ring disabled alarm systems and used high-tech surveillance equipment to watch for police.
