CAMBRIDGE, Ohio (AP) - Earlier this week, a Canton teen-ager accused of shooting two girls at a campground near Cambridge in June was ruled incompetent to stand trial.
Mike Morris, 19, is charged with two counts of attempted murder. He arrived at the campground on June 4 and had an argument with his mother. Authorities said that he wounded the girls, who were friends of his sister, when he began shooting at his mother and sister.
Morris was sent to a behavioral health center. He will be there for at least one year.
The center will tell the Guernsey County Common Pleas Court when they feel Morris is able to stand trial. He'll then undergo another hearing to determine whether he is competent.
