PITTSBURGH (AP) - Former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino will be the honorary chairman of the 2003 Big 33 Football Classic.
Marino, who retired from the NFL in 2000, played in the Big 33 in 1979 as a representative from Pittsburgh.
The annual Big 33 game matches high school football players from Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Marino will attend Big 33 events that start July 17. The game will be held July 19 at Hershey Stadium in Hershey, Pa.
The Big 33 Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit organization that has provided almost $2 million in academic scholarships since 1985 to high school seniors throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio. The annual game is the foundation's biggest fund-raiser.
