Police Have Abduction Suspect In Custody

CLEVELAND – Police told Action News on Wednesday afternoon that they have a person in custody in connection with an attempted abduction on the campus of Cleveland State University.

A Cleveland Police Department official said that they are questioning the suspect.

Campus police said that an 18-year-old freshman was abducted from Parking Lot Z on Monday morning. The student was forced into her car and driven through the city by her assailant before he released her near Saint Vincent Charity Hospital.

The student was not hurt, but the abductor stole her credit cards and money.
