Men Robbed At Gunpoint On Golf Course

MASSILLON, Ohio (AP) - Two gunmen wearing rubber masks robbed two brothers, ages 78 and 74, who were playing a round of golf.

The gunmen came out of woods that lined the fifth hole of the north course at The Legends of Massillon Golf Course about 2:20 p.m. Wednesday.

The 78-year-old was preparing to hit his drive when the attack occurred. He swung his club at one of the gunman, but missed.

The move seemed to surprise the gunman, the victims told police. He stopped for a second, then pointed his gun at the man's face.

The brothers handed over $115 they had in their pockets and bags, according to police reports. They were not injured.

Police said they have suspects, but no arrests had been made Wednesday.
