CLEVELAND - One drugstore chain no longer wanted to pay for the exposure of being the title sponsor for the Cleveland Marathon, so another drugstore chain has moved in and taken over.
It was announced on Monday that the Rite Aid Corp. is stepping in as the title sponsor for the 2003 Cleveland Marathon and 10-Kilometer Race.
Rite Aid will take the place of rival drugstore chain CVS as the sponsor of the race, which is scheduled for Sunday, April 27 of next year.
Registration for the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon will begin Oct. 1 through its Web site (link located in the "On Action News Now" section on the right-hand side of this page). Registration forms for the race will be available beginning Jan. 1 at Rite Aid stores throughout Ohio.
