Man Dies In Lake Erie Boating Accident

MARBLEHEAD, Ohio (AP) - A pleasure boat capsized Tuesday in 4-foot Lake Erie waves, killing one of four men on the craft, the Coast Guard said.

The victim was identified as Richard McMillan, 82, of Valley City, by Coast Guard officials. He died at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, the Coast Guard said.

Petty Officer Scott Cichoracki of the Detroit station said the 28-foot Bayliner went down near Kellys Island.

The four men were in the water about 10 minutes, the Coast Guard said. Three of them, ranging in age from 61 to 68, were released after treatment for hypothermia.
