CLEVELAND - A Cleveland man turned himself in Wednesday for a 14-year-old rape -- a crime that another man was falsely accused of, Action News reported.
Rodney Rhines cried as he turned himself in to face a charge of rape dating back to 1988.
Rhines' attorney said that in the 20 years since the crime, his client has turned his life around.
"He's a very religious man," the lawyer said. "He's been doing ministerial work, and it's because of that he has come forward."
Despite his willingness to come forward, a judge ordered Rhines held until he could post a $100,000 bond.
