Campground shooter committed to mental health facility

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio – A 20-year-old man who was arrested last June after he shot his 11-year-old sister and her friend at a Guernsey County campsite will not yet face trial, Action News reported.

Mike Morris went on the shooting spree after an argument with his mother.

Action News learned that a judge has committed Morris to a mental health facility for up to a year.

Any legal action will be delayed while the hospital determines if he's fit to stand trial.

Both of Morris' victims have recovered from their injuries.
