'Producers' makes millions in Cleveland

CLEVELAND - The Broadway smash "The Producers" made a ton of money in Cleveland, earning more than $3 million in its three-week run that just ended, Action News reported.

The Mel Brooks musical was a sellout on Broadway for a long time and won rave reviews and a lot of awards, including several Tony awards.

Officials at Playhouse Square said that the record just set by "The Producers" might not last very long because "The Lion King" could take over the kingdom when it visits northeast Ohio next summer.
