CANTON, Ohio (AP) - Plans for this year's Pro Football Hall of Fame Game are still up in the air.
The date for what's typically the NFL's first preseason game is usually known by this time. But a spokesman for the Hall in Canton says this year's planning has been slowed by the league's television contract negotiations.
The NFL still doesn't know which network will broadcast the Hall of Fame Game or even the day of the week when it will be played.
Organizers of the annual Canton-area festival surrounding the game say they might have to be flexible. For example, an annual "Ribs Burnoff" that has been run on the Thursday-through-Saturday preceding the game may shift to midweek days if the game switches from Monday night to Sunday.
