CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - It’s time for Taste Buds! Each week, Cleveland 19 News brings you a live video podcast about all things food!

Taste Buds: Chili season and local potato pancake production

On this episode, the trio of food experts will discuss the granddaddy of all comfort foods: Chili.

They’ll also take you inside Old World Foods, a local production facility that makes hundreds of thousands of potato pancakes and other Eastern European favorites annually.

The Taste Buds will kick off the show with a new favorite feature: “The best thing I ate this week.” (Hint, somebody fell off the “keto” wagon.)

Also, the weather is cooling down and that means pots of chili are being prepared to warm tummies and feed cravings.

How do you prefer your chili? Beans or no beans? Spicy or mild? Red, green or white? What are some of your favorite ingredients to include?

Chime in live during the show on our Facebook Live broadcast and we will share your comments and questions on the air.

On this week’s show, Jen Picciano will also take you inside the operation at Old World Foods. The Slavic Village business produces several sizes and flavors of potato pancakes, dumplings, pierogi and paprikash sauce.

Watch Taste Buds every Tuesday at 10 a.m. on Cleveland 19 News' app, website and Facebook Live broadcast. The show is also available on Roku and Amazon Fire TV. Jen Picciano of Cleveland Cooks hosts alongside David Kocab, Chef de Cuisine at The Black Pig, and Matt Mytro, Chef/Partner at Flour restaurant.
