Fraser, 45, was a sixth grade teacher at Woodbury Elementary. She was found murdered inside her home on Chagrin Boulevard.

Her husband Lance Mason, a former judge in Cuyahoga County, was taken into custody on Saturday. He has been charged with injuring a Shaker Heights police officer while fleeing from the scene, but has not been formally charged with his wife’s death.

Mason pleaded guilty in 2014 and served time in prison on domestic violence and attempted assault charges. Investigators say he attacked Fraser inside the couple’s car while the children were in the car at the same time.
