CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a 25-year-old man in North Olmsted who was wanted in connection to a homicide that occurred in Orlando, Fla.
Investigators accuse Angel Ogando of fatally shooting the female victim in her home in June 2017.
The incident was initially investigated as a suicide, but new evidence was recently discovered leading to a warrant for homicide issued for Ogando’s arrest.
Ogando was arrested in the 4800 block of Columbia Road in North Olmsted on Thursday after Marshals learned that he was hiding with a female associate.
U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “From law enforcement in Florida developing the new information, to the task force here tracking Ogando’s whereabouts, this is a great example of relentless police efforts.”
The homicide suspect is currently booked at the Cuyahoga County Jail awaiting extradition.
