Police arrest man accused in a string of burglaries in Lakewood

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Lakewood police have arrested a 49-year-old man accused of breaking into and entering three separate locations during at least four instances.

According to the Lakewood Police Department, James A. Reardon has been charged with breaking and entering in relation to the following crimes:

  • Nov. 28 - Officers investigated a burglary at Cleveland Vegan in the 17100 block of Detroit Avenue. Police found that the glass on the front door was shattered. Money was taken.
  • Dec. 18 - The Black Sheet Boutique at 2011 Carabel Avenue was broken into. Police say the suspect left after seeing that the cash register was empty.
  • Dec. 18 - Police were called to Cleveland Vegan on Detroit Avenue regarding a burglary alarm that was activated. Police found that the glass on the front door was shattered again and money was taken.
  • Dec. 18 - Investigators discovered that the Gethsemane Lutheran Church at 14560 Madison Avenue was broken into through a basement window.

Reardon was arrested on Dec. 21 and is currently being held in the Lakewood jail.
