CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -The Browns take on the division-rival Ravens today at 4:25 p.m. in what will be the final game of a very surprising season.
They were 2-6-1 after losing to the Steelers on Oct. 28 and a turnaround did not seem likely.
That’s when the decision to fire coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley. Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was promoted to interim head coach.
Now sitting at 7-7-1, the Browns can finish above .500 for the first time since 2007 and just the third time since they returned to Cleveland via expansion in 1999.
Having already been eliminated from the playoffs, nothing but pride is on the line today. It’s a different story for the Ravens, who are in a win-and-they’re-in situation against the Steelers.
