Geauga County crash victims identified

PARKMAN TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - The victims in a triple-fatal crash have been identified.

According to Parkman Fire Chief Mike Komandt, the two-vehicle crash happened on State Route 528 between State Route 88 and Shed Road around 5:30 p.m.

A preliminary investigation showed a Honda Civic driven by James Gray, 72, and carrying his daughter, Chloe Trupa, 9, both of Warren, was traveling north on State Route 528 when the driver traveled left of center striking the Pontiac G6, driven by Anthony O’Malley 48, also of Warren.

Gray and his daughter were pronounced dead at the scene.

O’Malley was taken to University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Troopers said Gray nor Trupa were wearing seat belts, but O’Malley was restrained.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.
