CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Icy roads are causing school delays in Northeast Ohio on Wednesday morning.

Sidewalks and side streets may be slippery as you head to work this morning.

Jeff Tanchak Forecast:

A cold front is forecast to track through by the afternoon.

It will be just cold enough for a little burst of snow thanks to some lake enhancement with the front.

It will be flurries this morning until the front approaches. Be on alert for some areas of black ice early this morning as we had freezing drizzle overnight.

Drier air builds in behind the front so we will get a break from the snow threat later this afternoon and tonight. We are tracking an area of low pressure coming out of Colorado.

This next system will move in later tomorrow.

I have snow developing tomorrow afternoon.

This Thursday storm promises to bring a general 1 to 3 inches of snow to Northern Ohio.

The snow is expected to mix with some rain south of Cleveland in the evening. The snow will end by Friday morning then we will really key in on the weekend winter storm.
