Soup 4 The Soul fills up coffers to help Greater Cleveland’s underprivileged kids

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The 6th Annual Soup 4 The Soul is taking place on Feb. 23 to support the nonprofit Strengthening Our Students.

The organization provides summer camps, field trips and scholarships for underprivileged students in Greater Cleveland.

“The people love to go by and see the celebrities serving the soup. Whether they do news, whether they do sports, whatever they do, they can go by get the soup and have a conversation. It’s a great gathering,” said Executive Director Dyeatra Williams.

People purchase tickets to sample up to a dozen or more soups prepared by local chefs, which are served by some of Greater Cleveland’s most famous faces and personalities.

The Soup 4 The Soul event takes place on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 700 Beta Drive in Mayfield Village.

It also features a Gospel concert with guest artist Nu Vision, a silent auction, line dancing and door prizes.
