GM Lordstown workers brace for the unknown as plant winds down production
WARREN, OH (WOIO) - More than 1,400 workers left the GM Lordstown plant for the last time on Wednesday.
Employees were told last fall the plant was closing.
“You know it’s coming, but you’re not looking forward to it,” said plant worker Wilberto Suarez.
The 51-year-old has tried to prepare for this day, but he didn’t realize it would be this bad.
Suarez has been at the plant for nearly 19 years. He and his wife Griselle have raised three kids at their Youngstown home.
